Experienced football administrator Alhaji Grusah has slammed Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan after claiming the Black Stars were awarded a soft penalty against South Africa in the World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars won 1-0 at the Cape Coast stadium last month courtesy of a first-half penalty.
Senegalese referee who was close to the action pointed to the spot immediately Daniel Amartey was held in the box by South Africa defender Rushine de Reuck.
Andre Ayew made no mistake and converted the penalty to send Ghana to the playoffs and keep the hope alive of qualifying for the World Cup.
But Gyan who is the all-time top scorer for Ghana recently disclosed Amartey went down too easily.
Reacting to his comment, the bankroller of King Faisal described the former Ghana captain as ungrateful and a pretender and said he will not get the chance to even become a ball boy for the national team.
“Asamoah Gyan is ungrateful and a pretender, he won’t even get the opportunity to become a ball boy, he should stop talking about the penalty against South Africa.” Says Alhaji Grusah.
Asamoah Gyan made 109 appearances for the Black Stars and scored 51goals and with 6 goals, he is the top scorer at the World Cup in Africa.
