Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu has reportedly turned down a request to play for the Black Stars at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations next year.
The four-time African Champions are chasing a fifth Africa Cup of Nations title after last winning the competition in 1982.
Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is expected to name his 40-man provisional squad today to begin preparation next week in Qatar for the tournament.
He will then prune his squad to 28 for the Nations Cup in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6, 2021.
Report says Salisu has asked the Ghana Football Association to excuse him from the Cup of Nations squad.
Ghana have been drawn in Group C alongside Gabon, Comoros Island and Morocco.
