Ghana international Kevin Prince Boateng says Charles Kwabla Akonnor is the ideal man to lead the Black Stars as the team prepare towards the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
On Tuesday, C.K Akonnor revealed his provisional 23 man squad for the doubleheader against Sudan and was asked about the future of Kevin-Prince Boateng.
He replied that the two had spoken but he did not want to feature for the team.
However, Kevin-Prince Boateng in a tweet shut down claims from Black Stars coach C.K Akonnor that they had spoken and the player did not want to feature for the national team.
But the on-loan Fiorentina forward has made U-turn to calm down nerves saying that he spoke to Akonnor.
“I spoke to coach Akonnor and I think he is the best man for Ghana right now, we had a great conversation. We didn’t really speak a lot about me returning to the Black Stars” he tweeted.
The Black Stars will take on Sudan on March 27, 2020, at the Cape Coast Stadium.
