Ghana coach Otto Addo will relinquish his role as head coach of the Black Stars after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The 47-year-old who is a talent development coach at Borussia Dortmund and his technical team comprising, Chris Hughton, George Boateng and Didi Dramani masterminded Ghana’s return to the World Cup at the expense of sworn rivals Nigeria in March this year.
Otto Addo, a former Ghana player himself took over the job from Milovan Rajevac on an interim basis but was given the job on a permanent basis ahead of the mundial.
“I think, as a national coach, you should also live in the country you work for in the long term,”
“But I see myself personally in Germany in the next few years.” He said.
The 2022 World Cup tournament has been scheduled for November and December this year with 32 countries set to battle it out for the covetous trophy in the Asian country.
Ghana will open their World Cup account against Portugal before taking Uruguay and South Korea respectively.
