The National Premix Fuel Secretariat in collaboration with the Donkorkrom Fire Station took Premix fuel operators drawn from all the nine (9) landing beaches through some basic fire safety training to arm them against fire outbreaks in their line of duty.
The programme took place at the Kwahu Afram Plains South District Assembly-Tease and participants were taken through topics like fire safety precautionary measures, causes of fire, and classes of fires with much emphasis on class B fires since that is the class of fire most likely to occur in their field of operation, modes of extinction and types and uses of the fire extinguisher.
Participants were also taken through how to extinguish fires at the incipient stage using a fire blanket and fire extinguisher.
In attendance were; Isaac Ofori Kɔree, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Kwahu Afram Plains North, Hon. Evans Kyei Ntiri, DCE for Kwahu Afram Plains South District, National Premix fuel Secretariat Officials and Eastern Regional Officials of National Petroleum Authority.
