The Koforidua Eastern Regional Police Command now has in custody a driver who allegedly killed his wife at Oyoko, a suburb of Koforidua in the New Juaben Municipality of the Eastern region.
Many family members and residents of Oyoko trooped to the Effiduase police station last night when information got to them that the suspect, Hagan Abeiku have been brought from Breman Esiam in the Central region where he was arrested.
The angry family members and residents were ready to attack the suspects at the police station but were prevented by the Police.
The suspect was later sent to the crime scene to demonstrate how he undertook his wicked operation before being sent to the Regional Command, Galloway for further investigations and action.
Meanwhile, interrogation of the suspect continued on Monday by the CID with the complainants also expected to be at the police station to assist the police in investigations.
Background
The suspect killed the deceased on Friday dawn with a machete inflicted wounds on her head at their residence at Oyoko and later absconded to a hideout.
Meanwhile, the hard work of the police led to his arrest in the Central region where he (the suspect) comes from.
The two have two children aside from another child the deceased had.
