The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region has extended its warmest congratulations to Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency and Osei Bonsu Amoah, Member of Parliament for Akuapem South who has been designated as the Minister for Food and Agriculture and Minister of State at the Local Government Ministry respectively.
The Regional leadership of the NPP said that, Dr. Bryan Acheampong has exercised great dexterity and leadership in all positions occupied.
The NPP expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Bryan Acheampong for his sterling leadership at the ministry of national security to ensure a robust internal and boundary security.
‘‘As member of parliament for the good people of Abetifi Constituency, you have brought real time and transformational leadership to the constituency which directly reflects in the lives of thousands of constituents within the constituency and beyond,’’ a statement issued by the Regional Communications Director and endorsed by the Regional Chairman affirmed.
‘‘Hon. Bryan Acheampong’s dynamism to acquaint himself with modern trends and continuous development reflects in your current academic achievement of a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Management Information Systems from the University of Ghana, Legon. His appointment to the Food and Agriculture Ministry is a remarkable achievement and a testament of his pragmatic and problem solving leadership,’’ the statement said.
The party added that O.B. Amoah has been outstanding in the sphere of issues relating to local governance and national development.
‘‘Hon. O.B. Amoah has been extremely phenomenal and impactful in all facets relating to national development by rising through the ranks of a tax practitioner to a former presidential staffer, former deputy minister of education and sports, former chairman of the parliamentary committee for subsidiary legislation to the deputy minister of local government and rural development, Member of the Inter Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) for the New Patriotic Party,’’ the statement added.
The statement affirmed that O.B. Amoah’s appointment is a strong affirmation of his in-depth knowledge in issues of local governance and rural development and planning. It’s no surprise that someone as exceptional and knowledgeable as him has received such a portfolio.
The party congratulated the two for their new appointments as senior patriots, adding they have always been a force to reckon with, and in this new role, they will truly be formidable.
