“If honesty was a human, there we had him. But will he still make that choice for the NPP next year?” This was a message from a viewer on the GTV Breakfast Show to former military officer of the Ghana Armed Forces and Chief Executive Officer of the defunct UT Bank, Prince Kofi Amoabeng who was being interviewed by host Kafui Dey.
In response to the viewer, Captain Prince Kofi Amoabeng (Rtd) said he will vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections.
According to him, Ghana needs a change and the NDC is the only viable option.
“…No, I won’t vote for the NPP, I will tell you. I said I won’t vote for NPP. I will vote for NDC. We need a change, and the only viable option is NDC”, he stated.
He, however, disclosed that he had voted for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in previous election years and said her sister, Gifty Twum-Ampofo is the NPP Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North Constituency.
UT Bank had its license revoked in 2017 during the banking sector clean-up.
