CEO of Atta Miils Institute, Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has made a strong case why Dr. Kwabena Duffuor should lead the main opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC in the 2024 general elections.
He emphasised the decision by the party to change its leadership in Parliament based on economics background of former leaders should be the yardstick for the former Finance minister to led the NDC.
“If the NDC changed its leadership in Parliament because they wanted someone with economics background then it must be applied to the Presidential candidate as well. And you know, Dr. Duffuor stands way ahead of Mahama” Mr. Anyidoho told Ohene Amoako (The Flagbearer) on ‘The Seat’ political show on Net 2 TV.
According to the former General Secretary of the NDC, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor would be in the best position to manage the economy instead of the former president whom he described as a failure.
He was optimistic the Ahotor Project by Dr. Duffuor would give opportunities to party members to be entrepreneurs with the support they will get instead of always looking up to political leaders all the time.
“It is better to teach people how to fish than making them serve you for little things they may need. The Ahotor Project will help transform many party supporters into entrepreneurs and thereby be self dependent. Mahama want the people to always run to him for help so he is not interested in investing in party members” Koku Anyidoho stressed.
He again accused the party’s leadership of trying to do dirty works for former President John Mahama Tobe the party’s Flagbearer but warned of the consequences it will come with that.
“NPP will break the 8 with ease if Mahama is made the Flagbearer of the NDC because statistics and data shows the party’s votes is gradually declining ever since Mahama became leader of the party” he predicted.
