One person has been arrested in addition to the parents of a 6-month old baby who was found dead in a polytank at Nkurakan in the Yilo Krobo municipality of the Eastern.
Rite FM reporter, David Ayertey speaking to Bryt FM news on Sunday evening revealed the baby was found dead in a polytank at an uncompleted building close to the house of the parents, where where there is an ongoing construction work.
The baby was found missing on Sunday morning after the parents left her in the custody of a her little children who are said to be too young to cater for their young sibling.
“The other two children told the mother that a man had come for the baby but the mother did not take it serious. It was later that she tried to found out the whereabout of her baby but all efforts proved futile”.
After thorough search by some residents around Nkurakan Airport area, the lifeless body of the baby was found in a polytank which was filled with water” the reporter told Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma of Bryt fm.
Meanwhile, the body of the toddler has been deposited at the morgue pending autopsy and further investigations.
