Ghana international Joseph Painstil says the intention of the Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton is to build a team capable of winning laurels in the future.
Hughton replaced Otto Addo who resigned after the World Cup in Qatar and has guided the team to one win and one draw in the AFCON qualifiers.
According to Paintsil, the mentality of the former Premier League trainer is to build a team that can win trophies in the future.
“He [Chris Hughton] is a very good coach,” he said. “I hope that he helps us in terms of growing as a team.
“He intends to build us to win trophies in the future,” he said.
The Black Stars winger has been Genk’s main man this season, scoring 15 goals and providing 15 assists in the process for the Belgium outfit.
The former Tema Youth star is on the radar of several Premier League teams including Brighton, Brentford and Fulham.
Meanwhile, Genk has ruled out summer transfer of the Ghana international as they intend to build a strong squad for European competitions next season.
Painstil current contract with Genk will elapse in the summer of 2026.
