Ghanaian international Kwadwo Asamoah is encouraging Ghanaians to stick to directives from health workers and stay safe.
The Inter Milan midfielder expressing his concern about the growing global disruptions of the coronavirus pandemic entreated Ghanaians to take the disease seriously.
The disease, also known as Covid-19, has become a global threat, having so far infected over 230,000 people and claimed nearly 10,000 lives.
This has resulted in the suspension of almost all sporting and football competitions around the world, Ghana being no exception.
However, the midfielder has joined a host of Black Stars players campaigning to kick against the deadly coronavirus.
He entreated his compatriots to compatriot to take the disease seriously.
“I will advise Ghanaians to take the disease seriously. I think people have not given the needed attention to the disease but it’s very dangerous”
“After staying home for about a month, I have realized the difficulties and threat this disease possess”
“I will urge them to wash their hands regularly and also avoid social gatherings. We must adhere to the directives from our health workers. I know it will be difficult for Ghanaians to stay home but we should also pray behind it” he told Peace FM.
