The Executives of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation have paid a courtesy call to the CEO of NHIA, Dr Okoe Boye at the head office in Accra.
During the visit, the President of the Ghana Armwrestling Federation Mr. Charles Osei Assibey expressed the federation’s gratitude for the support and resources provided by the CEO during the just-ended 12th Africa Armwrestling Championship hosted by the Ghana Armwrestling Federation.
They also discussed the current state of Armwrestling in Ghana, including the challenges and opportunities faced by the sport, as well as the federation’s plans.
The CEO acknowledged the importance of sports in promoting healthy lifestyles which is one of the objectives of the Scheme as it works towards preventive healthcare and, assured the federation of ongoing support.
The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to strengthen their relationship and collaborate on future initiatives to further advance Armwrestling in Ghana. It also served as a platform to discuss issues, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships or sponsorships to enhance the development of the sport.
The CEO commended the Ghana Armwrestling Federation for their dedication and determination in promoting arm wrestling and pledged to continue supporting the federation’s endeavors.
In appreciation for his contributions to the development of Armwrestling, the federation presented the NHIS boss with a medal.
