Telecommunication Network (MTN) Ghana as part of its corporate social responsibility on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 presented a cheque of GH¢10,000 to support this year Akyem Tafo Ohum festival in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The donation also includes drink hampers, GH¢1,000 worth of airtime, and MTN souvenirs.
Donating on behalf of the company, Mr. Ransford Gyan, MTN Area Sales Manager for Eastern, Volta and Oti regions said MTN acknowledged the importance of festivals in the country hence the decision to support this year’s Ohum celebration.
He expressed the willingness of MTN to support festival celebrations in the country as a way of showcasing rich culture as well as promotion of domestic tourism.
In addition, the company will also carry out free sim card registration and other services throughout the festive period at vantage points to give the customers an experiential feel.
