The Department of Urban Roads ( DUR ) will forward a proposal to the Ministry of Roads and Highways for further studies on a proposed by-pass to be constructed for the Techiman township.
The project is to divert transit vehicles especially the buses and trucks from the CBD.
The Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwasi Amoako Atta made this known in Parliament following a question by Hon. Martin Kwaku Adjei- Mensah Korsah MP for Techiman South.
Hon Adjei- Mensah Korsah wanted to know the plans of the the Ministry to construct a by-pass to ease traffic congestion in the Techiman Township caused mainly by heavy duty trucks moving to and from neighbouring Burkina Faso .
