Construction of Youth and Sports Centre at Koforidua seems not to be encouraging after two years and some months since the project was started.
Isaac Asiamah, the Minister of Youth and Sports cut the sod for the construction of the facility on March 26, 2018.
The project as stated by the sector was expected to be completed within nine months after sod cutting.
The facility is among the 10 Youth and Sports Centers been constructed by the government across the country in their quest to improve the standard of pitches and sports facilities.
Minister Asiamah said the $2 million project forms part of the government’s efforts to provide Ghanaian youth with opportunities to develop their talents.
Koforidua based radio station (Bryt FM Sports) checks indicate that the facility is far from completion despite the grassing of the field after visiting the construction site.
