Hearts of Oak defender Kelvin Osei Assibey has pleaded with the club fans not to disown them amid Ghana Premier League struggle.
The Ghanaian giants has been unimpressive after 13 games into the domestic top-flight. The Phobians currently find themselves in the 8th position, accumulating 16 points.
Out of the 13 games, the Accra-based club have managed just three wins, losing three and drawing seven in the process.
But the former Eleven Wonders defender has pleaded with the fans to continue supporting the team.
“I will plead with the fans to keep supporting us because all hope is not lost. They shouldn’t disown us because we cannot do without them. The fans are the head of the team so if they disown us that will be our end. They should exercise some patience and also pray behind the team and I believe things will change for us” he said.
The Phobians will host sworn rivals Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League week clash at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. this is as a result of the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium by the National Sports Authority.
