A total of 842 delegates are expected to vote in the Kade Constituency of the Eastern Region on Saturday, 27th January 2024 as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) holds Parliamentary Primaries nationwide.
Mr. Kofi Abrefa Busia, Kade Constituency Chair, NPP, said all was set for the polls, following a meeting with the candidates, the Electoral Commission (EC), the police, and other stakeholders.
He said the voting will be held at Premises of Asuom Senior High School and the Electoral Commission will supervised the process.
The delegates, he said, comprised the council of elders, patrons, coordinators, and constituency executives.
Polls have been scheduled to open and close between 7am and 2pm on Saturday.
The NPP internal poll is a close contest between the incumbent, Alexander Kwadwo Agyare,Eric Ntiri Mensah, Patrick Asomaning Darkwa, Kofi Ntow Kwaning and Gifty Asare Obeyaa.
In 2020 General Election, Alexander Kwadwo Agyare won the seat with 32,550 votes representing 64.9% , against NDC’s Emmanuel Kofi Nti, 14,079 (28.1 ) and Dickson Akwasi Yeboah, Independent Candidate also had 3,528.
