Incumbent Member of Parliament for the Kade Constituency of the Eastern Region, Alexander Kwadwo Agyare has been giving the second chance to lead the New Patriotic Party for the December 2024 polls.
Alexander Kwadwo Agyare polled 426 votes in the primary held at Asuom Senior High School.
Other Candidates, Eric Ntiri Mensah had 167 votes, Patrick Asomaning Darkwa had 88 votes, Kofi Ntow Kwaning got 135 and Gifty Asare Obeyaa also had 3 votes.
Agyare was born in Pramkese and holds MSC in PROCUREMENT & LOGISTIC MANAGEMENT and a Former Deputy Youth Organizer, New York Chapter.
He was born 6 January 1979 is a Ghanaian politician who is a member of the New Patriotic Party since January 2021.
At Parliament, he is a member Holding Offices of Profit Committee, Roads and Transport Committee.
NPP has won this parliamentary seat consecutively in the past 6 elections: 1996 to 2016
The incumbent NPP Member of Parliament, Kwabena Ohemang Tinyase took over from Ofosu Asamoah in 2016.
However, his bid to seek a second term failed in June 2020 as he lost during the NPP parliamentary primaries to Alexander Kwadwo Agyare.
The incumbent MP for Kade, Kwabena Ohemeng Tiyase also lost with 107, as his contender, Alexander Kwadwo Agyare, won with 305 votes. Eric Ntiri Mensah had 93; Kofi Ntow, 152; and Dickson Akwasi Yeboah, 15.
In the 2020 General Election, Agyare Alexander polled 32,550 votes ,representing 64.90% against Emmanuel Kofi Nti
(NDC) 14,079 (28.07%) and and Independent Candidate,Dickson Akwasi Yeboah also had
3,528 for 7.03%.
