Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana Samira Bawumia has donated One Thousand (1000) bags of cement to support an ongoing construction of a purely Islamic Hospital in Techiman the Bono East Regional capital.
In Islam beliefs and doctrines, it is ideal for a Male Health Worker to always treat a fellow Male patient while Females work on same gender and Men and Women not admitted at same wards; but it is evident that our facilities in the Country does not permit this hence the decision of the Islamic Mission Secretariat to build the first purely Muslim hospital in Ghana.
Presenting the 1000 bags of cement on behalf of the Second Lady Madam Harriet Kyeremateng Oppong the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nkoranza South Constituency who in her personal capacity also added three (3) trips of sand said this donation was in fulfilment of a pledge made by Mrs Samira Bawumiah in August, 2022 during the Islamic Mission Secretariat Women Wing’s annual conference held at Techiman Krobo.
Receiving the cement donation and expressing gratitude; Sheikh Harun Ahmed Appau the National President of Islamic Mission Secretariat said it was a delight to have a Muslim Presidential Candidate for the first time and they are going to remember Alhaji Dr. Bawumiah in their prayers.
Hajia Mariam Nketiah Sulemana, the Secretary of National Women’s Wing of Islamic Mission Secretariat called on Ghanaians to consider voting for Women who are contesting in the upcoming elections.
