The Black Queens of Ghana has failed in their bid to secure their first ever qualification to the Olympic Games after falling short to Zambia in the penultimate game.
Ghana lost narrowly to the Copper Queens in the first leg played at the Accra Sports Stadium before playing out 3-3 draw in Ndola on Wednesday.
Zambia has advanced to the final stage of the qualifiers 4-3 on aggregate and will face Morocco to battle for a spot at the Olympics this year.
The Black Queens were chasing their first ever qualification to the Olympics but it did not materialize.
Coach Nora Hauptle and her charges will now focus on the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which takes place in Morocco later this year.
