Akwamu-Aboasa and Apeguso-Quarters have benefited from a boosts in education and drainage infrastructure by the Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman Thomas Ampem Nyarko.
A groundbreaking ceremony has been held in Akwamu-Aboasa to mark the beginning of construction for a 3-unit J.H.S. classroom block with staff common room and toilet facility.
Aboasa Presby Basic school has existed over 60 years without this essential facility.
The project aims to address the educational gap in the community, where pupils currently face long walks and dangerous conditions to attend school in nearby Kwanyarko.
It is hoped that at least one classroom will be completed by September, allowing current Basic Six students to start the JHS.
The event was attended by local leaders, including the Chief of Aboasa, Nana Obuopong, his elders, and representatives from the Asuogyaman District Education Directorate, led by Madam Augustina Adjoa Owusu.
The Education Director commended the MP for taking the initiative to provide JHS block to the numerous basic schools without JHS facilities.
In Apeguso-Quarters, a separate initiative saw the donation of 50 bags of cement by the MP to support the construction of drainage systems.
This project, driven by the local chiefs and community members, aims to improve living conditions and prevent flooding.
These efforts are part of ongoing initiatives to enhance educational opportunities and improve infrastructure in the Asuogyaman Constituency.
With support from community leaders and residents, these projects are expected to bring lasting benefits to the constituency.
