Roads and Highways minister Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye was joined by the Mayor of Kumasi, Mr. Sam Pyne and officials from the Department of Urban Roads to inspect some ongoing road projects in the Greater Kumasi Area.
Their first stop was at the Dakodwom-TUC Junction stretch of the Kumasi western bypass in the Nhyiaso constituency, where efforts are underway to ease the severe traffic situation in the area.
In the Asokwa constituency, a they assessed progress of work at Kaase, while in the Oforikrom constituency, they inspected the bypass construction at the St Louis Senior High School, designed to ease traffic flow at the KNUST junction, linking to the Kumasi township.
The inspections continued in the Kwabre area, covering Mamponteng, Kenyase, and Maase Atimatim. In the Kwadaso constituency, they visited several areas, including the Power Chapel enclave to inspect the road situation.
At Bantama, they observed steady progress in Bohyen, Kokoso/Asubonteng, Ohwim/Amanfrom, Abrepo and Asuogya. Additionally, they inspected the Atafoa bridge project, which was once a major threat to residents and their livelihoods, but has now undergone significant reconstruction.
