National Democratic Congress Youth Activist and former Wassa Amenfi East Constituency communication officer, Mr. Thomas Dindiego has questioned the credibility and foresight of NPP 2024 Flagbearer Dr. Bawumia to merit the presidency.
Thomas Dindiego described Dr. Bawumia’s promises in the NPP 2024 manifesto as empty, uninspiring, and lacking foresight because they lack the credibility to implement them.
According to Dindiego, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia failed to detail specific measures or strategies to implement his manifesto promises.
The NDC youth activist accused Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of lacking originality and passing off others’ ideas as his own, claiming that Bawumia sought to steal John Mahama’s policy initiatives in his 2020 manifesto.
Reacting to the NPP manifesto, which was launched on Sunday, he cited six distinct NDC and John Mahama policies that he claims Dr. Bawumia has copied and presented as his own ideas.
Dindiego alleged that Dr. Bawumia’s pledges to eliminate ex-gratia payments and undertake constitutional reforms are mere imitations of John Mahama’s promises.
He told journalists in the Western Region on Monday that, Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to abolish e-levy, introduced by his government, mirrors John Mahama’s vow to abrogate.
Thomas Dindiego scored Dr. Bawumia as deceptive and visionless, seeking to steal policy initiatives from his opponents.
He slammed the NPP presidential candidate for plagiarizing NDC’s manifesto pledge to create job opportunities for young people through ICT and coding training.
Dindiego emphasized that the policy plagiarized by Dr. Bawumia will provide initial seed capital of US$50 million to support indigenous companies in fostering the growth of the digital economy.
He also noted that the NPP has rebranded NDC’s Women Development Bank with a new tag, Women Empowerment Programme.
He mocked the New Patriotic Party, saying they lacked economic ideas and alerted Ghanaians to beware of another set of lies from the ruling government to recapture power.
