Roads and Highways minister Francis Asenso-Boakye joined by the Minister for Finance, Hon. Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, to inspect ongoing construction works on the Kasoa-Winneba Road, which is currently 45% complete.
The 30km project aims to expand the existing two-lane road into an eight-lane highway, with four lanes for the main highway and two-lane service roads on each side to serve the local communities.
The road serves as a vital link, connecting Accra to Winneba, Cape Coast, Takoradi, and beyond.
Upon completion, it will significantly reduce traffic congestion, promote tourism and enhance economic other activities.
The government’s long-term vision includes extending the project beyond Winneba, all the way to Takoradi.
This ongoing construction of the Kasoa-Winneba Road is FULLY funded by the Government of Ghana (GoG), and is part of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration’s broader portfolio of road development projects across the country.
