The Eastern Regional Minister Honourable Seth Kwame Acheampong has said a total of 241 of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP-2024) received the region have been distributed to all the 33 Assemblies and it will soon start Construction and Rehabilitation of Roads.
According to him, additional machines are expected which includes Tipper Tracks, Water Bowser ,Concrete Mixer,low bed and Table Roller, and in all,241 out of 312 machines allocated have been received and distributed.
Speaking at Koforidua during Town Hall Meeting and Exhibition of Projects undertaking so far in the Region, Honourable Seth Kwame Acheampong said 40 Tipper Tracks have been received out of 66 allocated, 33 back hoes, 33 Water Bowser,33 Table Rollers, 33 Motor Graders, 7 wheel loaders,4 bulldozers, 4 Low bed and 79 concrete mixers.
Ghana is embarking on a historic journey to transform its road infrastructure management and improvement with the official launch of the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP-2024).
This initiative by the Government of Ghana is set to empower Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) with the tools and resources needed to enhance road networks across the country.
The launch event, held at the Black Star Square on the 31st of July, 2024 by H. E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, witnessed the convergence of key stakeholders, dignitaries, and media representatives, to mark the beginning of a new era in Ghana’s road infrastructural development.
The initiative, a cornerstone of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s vision for national progress, was unveiled.
