Filing of nomination forms is a mandatory process for all political candidates in Ghana who wish to contest in the general elections. Mr. Charles Darko Yeboah (Ozay), the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region of Ghana, fulfilled this requirement on Friday, 13th September 2024, by presenting his forms at the district electoral commission office.
Accompanied by Constituency Chairman Alhaji Sadidi Mohammed, constituency executives, and party supporters, Mr. Darko arrived at the electoral commission office at 10:30 am to officially register his candidacy. He was warmly received by the electoral commission officials, who guided him through the process of submitting the necessary forms and documents.
After successfully filing his forms, Mr. Darko addressed the media, expressing his gratitude to the NDC party and its supporters for their unwavering encouragement. He outlined his vision for the constituency and pledged to work tirelessly to bring development and progress to the people of Abuakwa North.
With the successful filing of his forms, Mr. Charles Darko Yeboah is now officially recognized as the NDC parliamentary candidate for the Abuakwa North Constituency and will compete against other candidates in the upcoming general elections.
The NDC candidate urged all residents of Abuakwa North to come out in their numbers on election day and exercise their right to vote.
He assured them that, with their support, he would serve diligently and bring positive change to their lives.
Constituency Chairman Alhaji Sadidi Mohammed, also known as Arab Money, thanked party members for accompanying the parliamentary candidate and urged them to spread the word about John Dramani Mahama and Mr. Charles Darko. He encouraged members to help win the Abuakwa North seat and ultimately secure victory for the NDC in Ghana.
The filing of his forms marks the official start of Mr. Darko’s campaign, and he is expected to intensify his efforts in the coming days to reach more constituents and win their support.
