The Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah MP launched the digital platform for the Rent Control Department that is meant to mainly streamline and enhance the operations of the Department.
It will be recalled that on 15 th July 2020, His Excellency, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia paid a working visit to the Rent Control Department, where he witnessed at first hand, the long queues of citizens waiting to access essential services within the rental space.
The Vice President therefore pledged to digitize the operations of the Department to make it more accessible, efficient and responsive to the needs of the people.
The completion of Phase 1 of this transformative project covers the digitalization of 15 offices of the Department across 11 regions of Ghana.
The portal www.rentcontrol.mwh.gov.gh is a one-stop platform for all rent-related transactions; allowing both landlords and tenants to seemlessly interact with the Rent Control Department in a more efficient and transparent way.
The Deputy Minister urged Ghanaians to embrace this digital future and make full use of the platform to enhance their rental experience.
