Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, John Dramani Mahama has thrown shade at the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government for inflicting hardship on Ghanaians.
In a Facebook post, the former president emphasized on his commitment to stabilize and transform the economy if voted into power come December 7.
His post below:
“I am committed to leading a team that will stabilise and transform the economy. This transformation will stop the daily increases in the price of essential products such as fuel, food, and general goods and bring prices down.
When the NDC was in office, a bag of cement cost GH₵25, but now it is more than GH₵100. Fuel cost GH₵14 per gallon in 2016, but the NPP said it was too expensive. Today, a gallon costs more than GH₵70. That is why we will work hard to stabilise the economy so that the prices of goods and services will be reduced and things will be more affordable for the people.
Akufo-Addo and Bawumia’s destruction of the economy has badly affected rural dwellers, but they can be assured that the next Mahama government will lessen their financial burden”.
