Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, Senior Campaign Adviser to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer for his extraordinary leadership characteristics and contributions to Ghana’s growth.
During an interview on Channel One TV’s The Point of View, Agyepong underlined Dr Bawumia’s remarkable track record at the Bank of Ghana, coupled with his 7-year term as Vice President, which he claimed indicates his aptitude for strong, results-driven leadership.
Agyepong praised Dr. Bawumia’s creative thinking and tremendous enthusiasm, highlighting his exceptional capacity to heal divisions between Muslims and Christians by emphasizing their shared Ghanaian identity.
In addition, he urged party members to put aside their unresolved differences and work together to support Dr. Bawumia in order to ensure his success in the 2024 elections.
“The former General Secretary of the NPP underscored, “His background has made him very empathetic…He’s someone most party people give affection to and that is very good… He has been selected by the party and I respect the authority of the party.
He won decisively. I believe Bawumia has the opportunity to lead our country and the party into a new era, with new ideas and energy.
“Of course, he has learnt a lot from the difficulties that we have seen, over the last two, three years, especially after the economy spiralled out of control.”.
