On Tuesday, 15th October 2024, President Akufo-Addo had the honour of visiting the Northern Region as part of his ongoing nationwide tour to give an account of his stewardship and to garner support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s 2024 presidential candidate.
During his visit, he paid a courtesy call on the Ya Na, the Overlord of Dagbon, where we held fruitful discussions about the development of the region and the strides made under my administration.
“We spoke about the significant infrastructure developments across Dagbon and the Northern Region at large, including improvements in education, health, and roads, which have opened up the region to more opportunities for growth and prosperity. I expressed my deep appreciation to the Ya Na and the people of Dagbon for their unwavering support throughout my time in office and urged them to continue backing the NPP as we work to consolidate the gains we’ve made”.
“Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has demonstrated exemplary leadership as Vice President, and I am confident that, under his stewardship, Ghana will continue on the path of progress and prosperity. I encourage all to rally behind him as we strive to build a stronger and more resilient nation” the President stated.
