Five male students from Mpraeso Senior High School in the Kwahu South Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region have been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a female student, according to Nkawkaw based Agoo FM.
The incident reportedly involved a total of eight male students, with investigations still ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.
The victim, in her account to the media, said she was in the company of a friend when she was called over by the boys after her friend had left.
It was at this point that she was taken advantage of by the group.
Following the traumatic incident, the female student sought medical attention at a nearby hospital, where her condition was assessed.
As of now, five of the boys involved have been arrested and arraigned before court, while authorities continue their investigations into the case.
