The Majority Chief Whip, Hon. Alex Tetteh Djornobuah, has stated emphatically that the actions of the NDC MPs yesterday was bad which he believes is a destructive mechanism to the country.
Hon. Tetteh Djornobuah made this statement during an interview with Bryt Adekye Mu Nsem with Kwamina Sam Biney on Koforidua based Bryt FM on Thursday, 23 October 2024.
According to him, the NDC should bow their heads in shame for exhibiting such awful behaviour in parliament yesterday.
“We followed their majority leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, and when we went to the Parliament House it was arranged the same way as always, their tag was at the majority side so we went to sit there. The National Democratic Congress (NDC’s) behavior is a destructive to the country”.
“Since we didn’t want parliament to blame the NPP for anything, we didn’t mind the NDC MPs’ attempts to drag and fight us.Because we uphold and adhere to the rule of law, we attended the press conference. Regardless of whether the speaker received the order or not, we were waiting for his response.”
He concluded that,” We would have used whatever he had to say to forward our efforts to support Ghana’s development. The speaker called the leadership and informed us that he had got the order and would undoubtedly say it when the time came”.
