Richard Kumadoe, Security analyst and expert has commended the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for his zeal to ensure security is paramount as 5,400 security personnel will be available on election day across the country.
According to him, “This is the best thing every IGP is supposed to do, and we are happy with his decision he made to ensure peace in the December 7”.
Richard Kumadoe said this during his interview on Bryt fm Adekyee Mu Nsem with Kwamina Sem Biney on Wednesday November 20, 2024 after the IGP’s engagement with security capos and experts.
“As the head of security personnel tasked for the election, he urged the Immigration and Custom services and the military to ensure the path way and educate the general public on safety tis on the election day.
“This is hardly to see this but on the security meeting, the IGP assured us of more security personnel and I think it is in the right direction” Mr. Kumadoe emphasized.
He said the IGP decision is to create awareness and alert the public who want to create problems on the election day could be deal with in accordance with law.
“We pray that on election day, they will have the ability to deliver. In order to avoid problems on the election day, voters must know their polling station as early as possible” he added.
He again emphasized that, in this upcoming election, he suspect that, there will be voter displacement. Because of the quarantined of community and re- align some of the polling station and credit ones by the electoral commission.
