As part of strategic measures to make health care accessible to Ghanaians, President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has commissioned New Juaben North Municipal Hospital at Jumapo in the Eastern Region.
The project, which contains a 40-bed capacity hospital, is fully equipped with ultra-modern equipment to assist health practitioners to deliver their healthcare services to the public.
The project also includes 12 units of 2-bedroom, semi-detached accommodation for hospital workers at each of the facilities.
During his thank you tour to the constituents in the Eastern Region, President Akufo-Addo commissioned the state-of-the-art hospital to enable Ghanaians to enjoy better health care delivery in the municipality.
President Akufo-Addo called on the authority to maintain the facility to help service its purposes in the area.
President Akufo-Addo has called on eligible voters to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party in the December 7 polls.
The Municipal Health Director for New Juaben North, Ms. Nana Yaa Konadu, applauded President Nana Addo for prioritizing healthcare service for Ghanaians in the Eastern region.
Ms. Yaa Konadu said that the project will uplift health care delivery in the municipality.
The 40-bed capacity hospital consists of an outpatient department (OPD), pharmacy, medical and surgical units, cold room, and many other units.
The project was constructed by VAMED Engineering GmbH of Austria.
The other areas where these hospitals have been built across the country include Jumapo, Kwabeng, Nkwatia, Achiase, Adukrom, Mim, and Kpone Katamanso.
A €71,500,000 Euro facility was secured from Erste Group Bank AG and Česká Spořitelna a.s. towards the construction and equipping of these 40-bed hospitals.
