The Media Coalition, made up of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA), Private Newspaper and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) and New Media Association of Ghana (NMAG), says it will to hold an emergency press conference over the decision of the electoral commission to limit access to media houses representatives at the national collation centre.
According to the group, this is a critical issue that must be addressed as soon as possible to prevent the decision of the Electoral Commission’s (EC) accreditation to selected media houses to cover proceedings at the National Collation Centre.
In a press statement signed by the national secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Kofi Yeboah, the presser is scheduled for 11:Pm on Saturday the 7th of December, 2024 at the International Press Centre.
