The Eastern Regional Leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the Inspector General of Police IGP to immediately effect an arrest of the MP for Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency for shooting an observer following the ECs attempt to declare his main contender Philibert Amenorpe as the winner of the parliamentary election at Nsawam Adoagyiri.
Addressing the media at the Eastern Regional NDC party office, the Eastern Regional Chairman of the NDC Dr. Mark Oliver Kevor described the incident as unfortunate indicating that the sitting member of Parliament realizing he has lost the elections besieged the collation centre with NPP thugs to engineer confusion and personally shot one Tabor Richard an observer who is currently hospitalized at Nsawam hospital.
Dr. Mark Oliver Kevor subsequently noted that despite the party’s official complain at the Nsawam police station , no action has been done therefore the NDC party leadership in the Eastern region are calling on the IGP to take the an immediate action against Hon. Annor Dompreh.
Dr. Mark Oliver Kevor additionally alleged that the outgoing MP Hon. Annor Dompreh’s interference in the declaration of his contender the NDC Candidate as the winner was as a results of him openly saying he received an order from above Dr. Bosman Asare to instruct the EC officials in charge to put the Nsawam Parliamentary result declaration on hold.
