Former Minister of Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, has underscored the pivotal role of the President-elect, John Dramani Mahama, in ensuring the effective execution of policies outlined in the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) manifesto. Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Afriyie Ankrah described Mahama as the driving force behind the party’s vision for national transformation.
According to Afriyie Ankrah, the NDC manifesto, which has been widely praised for addressing the country’s pressing challenges, is not merely a document of promises but a comprehensive blueprint for sustainable development.
He stressed that Mahama’s leadership, experience, and commitment are indispensable to turning the proposed policies into tangible outcomes that will benefit all Ghanaians.
“The manifesto is only as good as its implementation. With President-elect Mahama at the helm, we are confident that every policy, no matter how ambitious, will be executed with precision and efficiency,” Afriyie Ankrah stated. He further highlighted Mahama’s proven track record in governance, citing his achievements during his previous tenure as President, which include major infrastructural projects and advancements in the health and education sectors.
Afriyie Ankrah also called on party members and Ghanaians to rally behind Mahama and support his administration to ensure a united front in addressing the country’s economic and social challenges. He assured the public that the NDC is fully committed to fulfilling its promises, emphasizing that the policies outlined in the manifesto are realistic and tailored to the needs of the people.
The NDC’s manifesto, dubbed “Building the Ghana We Want Together,” focuses on key areas such as job creation, education, health care, and industrialization. Afriyie Ankrah reiterated that the manifesto reflects the party’s dedication to inclusive growth and the betterment of the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.
As the NDC prepares to assume office, all eyes are on President-elect Mahama to deliver on the party’s promises and lead the nation toward progress.
