Experienced football administrator, John Ansah will lead the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) for the next four years after emerging victorious in their elections.
Ansah triumphed over Isaac Koomson in the elections held on Thursday at the GHALCA Secretariat located at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He pulled 95 votes, outpacing his opponent, Isaac Wilberforce Koomson, who received 35 votes.
Ansah succeeds Kudjoe Fianoo, who stepped down after a lengthy tenure. The newly elected leadership is expected to strengthen GHALCA’s influence and operations.
In the Vice Chairmanship race, Phyllis Marku retained her position, defeating Nana Amankwaa Kwakye.
The election saw participation from 134 members, including 36 from the Premier League, 48 from Division One, 30 from Regional Football Associations (RFAs), and 20 from the Women’s Premier League.
