The Bono Regional Minister, Honorable Joseph Akwaboa Esq, has assured the youth of Ghana, particularly those in Berekum, that the administration led by John Dramani Mahama is diligently striving to generate more employment opportunities to alleviate their hardships.
In his address to the residents of Berekum East during the confirmation ceremony for the Berekum East Municipal Chief Executive Nominee, Hon Hajia Fati Abubakar on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, the Regional Minister underscored the significant efforts and foundational measures undertaken by the NDC administration, under President Mahama’s leadership, to create jobs and employment avenues.
He urged the nation’s youth to remain patient, as these initiatives will soon bear fruit, mitigating the challenges posed by unemployment among them.
Honorable Hajia Fati Abubakar, the newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive for Berekum East, has affirmed her commitment to working assiduously with pertinent authorities to advance the development and prosperity of the Berekum East Municipality. She expressed her determination to restore the “Golden City” moniker that Berekum held several years ago.
She extended her gratitude to Allah and party executives for their unwavering support in helping her reach this significant milestone in her political journey.
The Jaman North District Chief Executive, Honorable Adane George, who attended the event, in a sidebar interview with Angel News, implored the government and the Minister of Roads to intervene in ensuring the reconstruction of the Berekum-Drobo-Sampa road, which has deteriorated significantly, impacting commuters and other road users traversing that route.
He noted that the road is enveloped in dust, which adversely affects the health of those who frequently use it.
