Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2014 flagbearer, has reaffirmed his appeal for NPP members to show tolerance and respect for one another.
During the NPP’s thank-you tour on Saturday, Dr. Bawumia addressed party stakeholders in the Savannah Region and claimed that remarks made by party members against one another are among the most deadly weapons against the NPP and are always utilized against the party.
“During the 2024 elections, our utterances against each other, against the party and our government, were used against us. They sponsored adverts in the media, using utterances of our own members against us during the campaign,” Dr. Bawunia said.
“If we are to stay stronger as a party, such conduct ought to stop because it does not help the unity and strength of our party.”
The former vice president was especially happy that party members around the country refrained from publicly disparaging one another.
