Over the weekend, a newly constructed merchandise borehole at Akwadum-Teshie was officially commissioned on behalf of the member of Parliament for Ayensuano Ida Adwoa Asiedu by the NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. C.K. Agbemedzi.
The facility, which the MP facilitated as part of her commitment to improving access to clean water in Ayensuano, is another fulfilled promise to the good people of Akwadum.
During the short ceremony, Chairman Agbemedzi appealed to the community to continue supporting and praying for the MP as she work tirelessly to deliver on her mandate. He reminded residents that this borehole was a pledge she made during her recent ‘Thank You Tour’ — a promise that has now been honoured.
“I’m deeply humbled by the appreciation shown by the chiefs (Nananom) and residents, and I’m grateful for their prayers and blessings. Their words of encouragement inspire me to do even more.
Also present at the event were the Assembly Member and Coordinator for the Dokrochiwa Electoral Area, Hon. Desmond Ohene Larbi, as well as polling station executives and many devoted party faithful” Madam Adwoa Asiedu posted on her Social media.
The borehole forms part of an ongoing effort to improve the water supply across the constituency. So far, newly constructed boreholes have been completed in: Akwadum, Sowatey, Anum Apapam, Bepoase, James/Ayeh Kwesi, Agyei Krom, Kojo Hum and Obowansan.
In addition to these, numerous broken-down boreholes across Ayensuano have also been rehabilitated — because every community matters.
