Grand Durbar in commemoration of the Dunwell Methodist Society has been held in Koforidua under the theme:”Walking in the Word: Equipped for Every Good Work – 20years of Dunwell Society”.
Minister In-Charge, Reverend Isaac Yao Boamah in his speech indicated “with one accord we say this is the doing of the Lord and therefore marvelous in our sights”.
As part of the anniversary, the church unveiled the New Children’s Hall – looking well prepared and ready for children’s service.
The church inveiled its most cherished leaders, past and present pastors who have hold positions and contributed to the church.
The Mission of the Dunwell Methodist Society – Atekyem is “To equip the church for ministry to the World Through the demonstration of christian faith and love”.
The Vision is to be a vibrant christ-centered and spirit-led church for the holistic transformation of the society.
The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana – Most Rev. Prof Johnson K. Asamoah Gyedu, tthe Lay President – Bro. Kwasi Atta-Antwi, the Administrative Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr William Mpere-Gyekye, the Diocesan Bishop – Rt.Rev Dennis Joseph Boadu, and all Circuit Ministers and Superintendent Ministers in Koforidua Diocese, the Chief of Staff – Julius Debrah, Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area – Daasesbre Kwaku Boating III, Nananom (Chiefs & sub chiefs) in and around Koforidua, and the MCE for New Juaben South Hon. Ransford Boakye were all present to grace the anniversary.
Looking ahead, the future of the Dunwell Society holds great potential in shaping generations across children’s ministry, youth ministry & the adult Ministry.
