
The President joined the Muslim Ummah in reflection and celebration, calling on Ghanaians to uphold the values of sacrifice, compassion, peace, tolerance, and national unity. The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, also offered prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity for Ghana.

President Mahama announced that construction and rehabilitation of roads, together with other major infrastructure projects, will soon commence in several Zongo communities across the country.

He stressed that no community will be left behind in the national development agenda, reaffirming government’s commitment to improving infrastructure, sanitation, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities across all Zongo communities in Ghana.

The President also commended the Ghana Hajj Board and all stakeholders for their dedication and hard work in ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj pilgrimage this year.

In his remarks, the National Chief Imam expressed appreciation to President Mahama for his support, which contributed to the successful organisation of the 2026 Hajj operations.
