The Chief Imam for Pipeline, Hajj Hassan Umar, has called on Muslims to continue to live in peace and show love to one another as they celebrate Eid al-Adha.
Speaking during the Eid prayers held at Pipeline in Koforidua three days ago, Hajj Hassan Umar said the festival is not only about celebration and sacrifice but also a period for Muslims to reflect on obedience, humility, and support for the needy.
He encouraged parents to guide their children to become responsible citizens and urged the youth to stay away from violence, drug abuse, and other social vices that could destroy their future.
The Chief Imam also prayed for peace and unity in Ghana and appealed to Muslims to continue supporting one another, especially the poor and vulnerable in society.
After the prayers, Muslim families in the community sacrificed rams and shared the meat with relatives, neighbours, and less privileged people as part of the Eid traditions.
