Leicester City attacker Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is expected to be included in the Black Stars squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers next month.
The West African giants will return to action in September for the continuation of the World Cup qualifiers. Ghana will take on Chad and Mali in a highly competitive clash as qualification for the mundial heat up.
However, Issahaku, who has been out of the national team since November is set to return to the squad following his recovery from injury.
The former Sporting CP Marksman suffered a serious injury while in action for Ghana against Angola in the 2025 AFCON qualifier.
After several months’ absence, Issahaku has returned to action for Leicester City and is making waves, following his stunning clash against Charlton Athletic.
The Black Stars will be hosted by Chad on September 4 before hosting Mali on September 8 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ghana, who sit at the top of Group I after six games, will hope to continue their momentum ahead of the games as they aim to secure a fifth World Cup qualification.
