Felix Gyamfi, the Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance.
Although no formal statement has been released, sources at the Jubilee House indicate that the move is part of a broader government reshuffle designed to align strategic personnel with the administration’s economic management agenda.
Meanwhile, Citi Newsroom reports that internal delays in deploying new National Service Personnel following an audit of the NSA’s online portal also played a role in the decision. The reassignment appears to reflect both policy realignment and operational concerns within the service.
Reports indicate a misunderstanding between Mr. Gyamfi and the supervising Minister, George Opare Addo. The Minister for Youth Development has reportedly advocated for the creation of a completely new deployment portal to resolve existing loopholes. In contrast, Mr. Gyamfi argued that the current system could be enhanced and optimized rather than discarded entirely.
Mr. Gyamfi’s reassignment, on the other hand, leaves the NSA’s head position hanging while planning for the next national service postings is already in motion, raising concerns about continuity.
