Family of a 4-year old girl is demanding swift justice for their daugher allegedly defiled eight times by a 14 year old Junior High School student in a compound House in Suhum in Eastern Region.
The accused juvenile allegedly sexually assaulted the victim in the kitchen, bedroom,bathroom and other places in the house.
The victim who was three and half years old when the abuse started later part of 2025 reportedly complained to her mum that her vagina was paining her but was not taken serious untill the complain became consistent whenever the mother attempts to wash the vagina.
Upon interrogation, she mentioned the name of the accused -Addo a 14 year old who stays in the same compound house for sexually abusing her.
When confronted ,the accused reportedly admitted the offence and confessed of abusing her 8 times.
Parents of the victim reported the incident to the police which a medical forms was issued.
The medical report endorsed by Dr.Nancy De-Graft Menz of the Suhum Government Hospital said “On Pelvic examination, there were minor abrasions on outer Labia, Hymen was not intact with presence of foul smelling whitish discharge on vulva. The perineum looked normal. There was also mild tenterners on valva. All other Systemic examinatio were normal”
Based upon confirmation of the Medical report ,the accused was arrested and interrogated where he allegedly admitted the offence.

took the accused to the his parents kitchen where he once defiled the child to demonstrat how he committed the act on a kitchen stool.
He was arraigned before Suhum Magisgrate court and was granted bail.
Father of the accused ,a Catechist deployed many respected individuals in Suhum community including chiefs,officers from the Education Directorate to plead for withdrawal of the case from court for amicable settlement at home
However, the parents of the victim declined the plea.
The Suhum Police Commander and the investigator from the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit all turned down similar plea for out of court settlement insisting it is criminal case which cannot be settled in the home.
Parents of the accused subsequently hired services of a Lawyer who changed the guilty plea of the victim to not guilty when the case was called again in court.
Since the intervention of the lawyer ,the case has suffered multiple adjournments as the lawyer deploys technicalities and excuses to stall the process.
The court case has stalled whiles the victim continue to battles infections and complication at the genitals .
