MTN Ghana has intensified efforts to improve healthcare delivery through its 2026 Y’ello Care Initiative, with volunteers undertaking renovation and maintenance works at selected health facilities across the country.
The Area Sales Manager for MTN Ghana in the Eastern, Oti and Volta regions, Mr. Ransford Gyan, said the telecommunications company is actively engaged on the ground, fixing hospital beds and other essential medical equipment to enhance healthcare services.
According to him, the initiative is being implemented in several regions nationwide as part of MTN Ghana’s commitment to supporting communities and improving access to quality healthcare.
Mr. Gyan noted that beyond the Y’ello Care project, MTN Ghana is also undertaking other social intervention programs, including health screening exercises in communities and selected basic schools within the Eastern Region.
Speaking during activities at the Eastern Regional Hospital, he encouraged other corporate institutions to emulate MTN Ghana’s example by investing in community development projects that positively impact lives.
Project Coordinator for the 2026 MTN Y’ello Care Initiative at Sika Pe Adwuma Company Limited, Mr. Charles Darko Prempeh, explained that the project is aimed at strengthening healthcare facilities across the country through the maintenance and repair of medical equipment and accessories.
He emphasized that ensuring the functionality of medical equipment is critical to improving healthcare delivery and supporting the work of health professionals.
The Y’ello Care Initiative is MTN’s flagship employee volunteerism campaign, which mobilizes staff and partners to undertake community development projects in areas such as health, education and economic empowerment.
The initiative continues to make significant contributions to healthcare infrastructure and service delivery, particularly in underserved communities across Ghana.
