Tema, Ghana – Enclave Power has continued its technical study tour of key power infrastructure facilities with a visit to the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) B5 Plus Substation.
The visit forms part of Enclave Power’s ongoing efforts to deepen its understanding of power transmission and distribution systems, following an earlier tour of the Pokuase Substation.
The delegation was led by the General Manager of Enclave Power, Ing. Matthew Seddoh Akatey, who, together with his team, engaged GRIDCo engineers in discussions on the operations of the B5 Plus Substation and its critical role in supplying electricity to the B5 Plus factory and surrounding communities.
During the visit, GRIDCo’s technical team, comprising Assistant Chief Technician Engineer Aaron Tetteh, Principal Electrical Engineer Francis Koomson, and Assistant Chief Technician Engineer Eric Kudor, provided detailed insights into the station’s operational performance and its contribution to ensuring a stable and efficient power supply.
The engineers highlighted the importance of the substation in maintaining reliability within the transmission network and supporting industrial activities in the area.
The study tour offered Enclave Power valuable firsthand operational knowledge and practical perspectives that are expected to enhance the company’s operational efficiency and strengthen its capacity to deliver reliable power services.
The visit underscores the importance of collaboration and knowledge-sharing among key players in Ghana’s power sector as efforts continue to improve electricity supply and system reliability across the country.
